Hurricane
Season is HERE!
Stay connected, take precautions and be safe.
Preparing is Key to Stay Safe!
The Atlantic hurricane season is about to peak between mid-August and late October.
Hurricanes are massive storm systems that form over ocean water and often move toward land bringing high winds, heavy rain, flooding and tornadoes.
Keep This in Mind!
In addition to all that you have to keep in mind for Hurricane Season Preparedness, VIYA encourages all USVI Residents to following these five recommended tips:
1. Stay Connected
Keep critical communication equipment on your Hurricane List. All devices should be adequately charged.
It is recommended to secure spare power sources, such as phone charges, solar chargers and battery banks, in the event of the loss of commercial power.
